Some of my recent experiences have been on a panel discussing craft brewery expansions, workshopping a process area renovation with a team from a macro brewery, giving a talk on the state of the industry at a Professional service provider and helping a new venture develop a business model which goes beyond the usual ‘make the best beer and sell loads of it’ idea.
Through all of these, and from my experience over the past decade in this industry, I have found that there are a number of key tools and considerations which can be applied, regardless of size.
With each post I will set out what i consider to be the basics on each stage of a project. The focus will range from making the business case for investment, through procurement, site selection, installation and finally maintenance and spares holding.
